The heron in bronze a visit to Worldfest and a butterfly emerges from it's Chrysalis

The heron is now cast in bronze.  The next step is the patina which will be a soft blue color.
It is the first in an edition of 25.
The heron will go on top of this plinth at Cave Hill Cemetery located in the Scattering Garden. Each person will be remembered with bronze butterfly. It will be beatiful with butterflies covering the sides and a heron at the top. This was designed by Lee Squires, manager of Cave Hill and I am pleased that he selected me to create the heron.
My twin sister Liz and I went to Worldfest on the Belvedere in Louisville, KY.  The weather was nice and there were lots of people.
There was dance from cultures all over the world....
 as well as music....
 and good food...
Ed Hamilton's York sculpture has made a new friend...
And down the street at the Slugger Museum, kids are playing on a giant ballglove carved from Kentucky Marble by Al Nelson, a local sculptor.
The other day I saw this butterfly sitting on one of the stones at the studio. I didn't realize it at first, but it has just emerged from its chrysalis.  It is waiting for it's wings to dry and harden, then it will fly away.....
